First Edition limited to 600 copies. The diary of Franklin A. Nims, who was the staff photographer on two Brown-Stanton railroad survey expeditions. down the Colorado by boat in 1889-1900. The expeditions were failed attempts to chart a route for the proposed Denver, Colorado Canyon, and Pacific Railroad Company, plagued by death and disaster. This is the first publication of Nims' diaries and is an adventurous first hand account, rich in riverboat lore and contemporary perspective on Utah and Arizona. Fine in dust wrapper with a touch of very light spine-fading, in protective mylar.
