Introduction by Bryan Holme. A collection of 20 double page full color prints of fishes produced by Ando Hiroshige (1797-1858) representing “the seasonal joy that visits every kitchen door.” The works were originally published in 1832-1833 with the cooperation of Kyokashi, a guild of poets who wrote short light verses to accompany the prints (most of these poems appear at the end of the book).
A bright, crisp, pristeen copy in original cardboard slipcase.
