Gemini (Signed)

London: Ulysses Press, 1931.
Limited Edition. Hardcover.

#103 of a limited edition of 185 copies, signed by the author on limitation page facing title page. Printed by H. D. C. P. and C. C. Members of the Handprinters Association on an Albion Crown Press.

The author speaks perhaps of his own duality (a la Orson and Valentine) in the opening work "Apology": "These uneasy verses are some of the spasmodic gestures which each of me has made, during the last few years, in an attempt to usurp a unity at the cost of the other. Something archaic, uncouth, and even barbarous is very obvious in one, and the other is an hysterically self-conscious dandy."

Item #900571

7-1/8 x 10-18", 1/2 white cloth, blue paper over boards, 33pp, deckled edges.

Modest soiling and a bit of bumping to edges and corners of boards, toning to first free endpaper, internally clean and crisp, a very good + copy overall.
