Previous owner's name and place (James O'Mara, Cashel House, Connemara) half-title and faint O’Mara ink stamp at the end of the bibliography.  In addition to being a fly fisherman, Mr. O'Mara was also a Finn Sein leader and the first official representative of Ireland to the U.S. Mr. O'Mara owned Cashel House from 1919-1951.

He identifies all the artificial flies mentioned by early writers and provides a bibliography of fishing literature cited or quoted in the text.

Previous owner has correctly added a correction to the errata slip in ink - Page 15, line 10, 1856 for 1846 (correction to year of publication of Blakey's Historical Sketches of the Angling Literature of all Nations). Bumping to corners of boards, tight, an appealing, very good copy of a desirable book, in a custom mylar jacket.
