Chronicle of the 1975 37th annual Hoogovens Chess Tournament held in Wijk aan Zee, The Netherlands. The annual tournament was begun in 1938 by Hoogovens Steelworks and moved to Wijk aan Zee in 1968. The steelworks has changed ownership twice since and the tournament name changed to the Corus Chess Tournament in 1999 and the Tata Steel Chess Tournament in 2003 (its present title).

The roster of 16 players (9 grandmasters and 7 masters) in 1975 was Lajos Portisch (the winner); Vlastimil Hort, Jan Smejkal, Lubosh Kavalek, Svetozar Gligoric, Robert Hubner, Genna Sosonko, Walter Browne, Efim Geller, Jan Timman, Semyon Furman, Christian Langeweg, Hans Ree, Johannes Donner, Franciscus Kuijpers, and Ivan Popov.
