#350 of a limited edition of 585 copies on Worthy Aurelian paper, signed by the author. Detailed description of 816 early American children's books from the collection of antiquarian bookseller A. S. W. Rosenbach published between 1682 and 1836. The collection was started by Rosenbach's uncle Moses Polock in 1835 and bequeathed to Rosenbach in 1900. He continued to build on the collection until 1947 when he donated it in its entirety to the Free Library of Philadelphia. A beautiful copy, fine in very good slip-case with a bit of modest edge-wear and a bit of rubbing and glue discoloration to the title label on front board of slip-case.
