In this chapbook, Barry Lopez (1945-2020) speaks of his intimate connection to the Finn Rock stretch of the McKenzie River in Oregon, where Barry lived from 1970 until the Holiday Farm Fire of 2020. The speech was made at an event held by the McKenzie River Trust on April 1, 2016 to celebrate acquisition of 278 acres of McKenzie River property near Finn Rock.
