Thirty-two stories from brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, including Snow White, Rapunzel, and my own favorite Doctor Knowall in which a peasant is advised on how to better himself by becoming a doctor - "First buy an ABC book, the kind which has a crowing cock upon the front page; secondly sell your oxen and cart, and with the money buy good clothes and whatever else a doctor requires; thirdly, have a sign painted with the words, 'I am Doctor Knowall,' and hang it up above your door."

Front endpaper hinge cracked, previous owner's bookplate first paste-down endpaper, only mild edge-wear to cloth, an extremely well-preserved copy with bright and colorful illustrations, very good indeed.
