Also listed are schools that were incorporated and some that were only planned but that never opened. These schools include public and private elementary schools, secondary schools, colleges and universities, and professional schools (including normal schools) arranged under the names of post offices and followed by county names. A second "School List" arranges private school and public institutions of higher education (including professional schools) alphabetically by name.
