Also included are 108 unpublished photographs of people and spaces known intimately to Lincoln. Half were posted in Washington, 1/3 were taken in Springfield, Illinois. Among the photographers featured here are Alexander Gardner, Anthony Berger, and Mathew Brady. Also of interest is a section on composite, doubtful, and spurious photographs, and a chronological sequence detailing all photographs known to have been made, whether or not they have been located.
