There are sketch maps in addition to Eldon Dye's illustrations of the most important routes, together with introductory material on park regulations, climbing history, equipment, weather, the guides, and approaches and campsites. Roald Fryxell has provided an appendix on the geology of the Teton Range. The Sierra Club has added a foreword on mountaineering safety.
