Five hundred copies of this, the second bibliographical compilation of the books published by the Book Club of California, were printed by Mastercraft Press and bound by Cardoza-James, both of San Francisco, in August of 1993. The format and the type, M & H's Van Dijck, follow the design of the original "100," as created for The Club by the Grabhorn Press in 1958.
The first compilation is the 100th book published by the club and this second compilation is the 200th and is dedicated to the memory of David and Dorothy Magee, writer and proofreader for the first 100 Books. David Magee’s method of bibliographical description used in the first 100 has been retained here with some modifications.
