A reprint of the catalogue of an exhibition mounted at MOMA in 1938 on works from the Bauhaus School. At the Bauhaus School, founded by Walter Gropius in 1918), expressionist painters, craftsmen, and industrial designers combined their talents to create a school of modern design which emphasized the philosophy that form should follow function. The school closed due to Nazi pressure in 1933.
